5 Question Friday

I had a great time doing a Belli Vlog last week for Five Question Friday that I think I'm going to keep doing it.  I will have to start next week though because Belli is currently visiting with my ex-husbands parents out of town right now.  She loooooves hanging out with them and should be good and spoiled by the time she gets back.  But, I can still make up answers for her either way so here goes.  If you want to join in head on over the Mama M's!

1.  If you could, would you go back to high school?
Well I have never been but my mommy hated high school so she is going to do the best she can to make sure I am at a school that I will enjoy.

2.  If a genie appeared and granted you two wishes what would they be?
For my mommy to let me ride my tricycle in the street because she tells me know EVERY time.  And for more milk.

3.  What kids show do you secretly like?
I don't watch TV but my new favorite movie is Cinderella!  My mommy is so excited that she doesn't have to watch Sesame Street all the time now.

4.  What is your beverage of choice?
Milk with Carnation please!

5.  What is something that you would change about yourself?
My bossiness.  If I keep going the way I am nobody is going to like me when I get to school!

My Little Genius

Tonight when I sat down to eat dinner I asked Belli if she could get all of the letters in this train thing she has and put them in order.  I didn't know if she could do it or not and that it would take a while for her to do it if she could so I would have plenty of time to eat dinner.  Well here are the results.

I Think Belli is Going to be a Teacher

I was in the bathroom straightening my hair this morning and I peeked around the corner to check on Belli.  This is what I found.

See her "friends" lined up on the bottom stair?

Notice that she has the book turned to where her "friends" can see the book as she is reading.
Gosh I love her.  She is so darn cute!

I TOLD YOU I HATE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR

Guess who showed up for dinner tonight while I was feeding Belli?

This little SOB...

That's right.  I called it an SOB.  If you read this post you will know why this is such a big deal.

I was just minding my own business when the little bugger decided to rear it's ugly head less than a foot away from Belli and me.  My dad, my main concern because of his severe allergy, was sitting just feet away in the living room.  I snatched Belli up out of her chair gave her to my dad and told him to bring her upstairs and stay there.  I was going to kill it with a fly swatter.  My dad, being the chivalrous man that he is, insisted on coming back down to kill it knowing that I was just going to panic, freak out, have a heart attack, or all of the above.

I assured him this was not the case.  I was wrong.  I had an epic fail today in this regard.  That little bugger flew out from behind the blinds and I ran.  It was pitiful.  But while I was running I was yelling at my dad not to go in there.  So we compromised.  He could kill it but he had to use the wasp spray.  It's an instant killer and shoots from afar.

So, now it's dead and I have come to the realization that once I am living by myself and there's a yellow jacket in the house I will just have to leave.  Nice.

Why I Hate the Spring and Summer Part 2

I was not intending on doing a part 2 of this post but over the past few days I have realized that there are a couple more reasons I hate this time of the year.  These are really geared more towards the summer time than the spring time because it doesn't start happening a lot until it gets hotter.  To read part one of this post you can click here.

Exhibit D

Tornadoes.  One of my biggest fears.  And unfortunately Alabama gets them a lot once the weather starts getting really warm.  I have not always been this afraid of tornadoes and storms but ever since we has a very small F0 tornado come through our neighborhood in 2004 I have been terrified.  Especially of wind.  Thunderstorms even scare me now if there is a lot of wind.  When that tornado came through in 2004 lightening hit my TV and shorted it out and my next door neighbor's tree fell down and just barely missed our house.  By barely I mean our gutters were dented a little bit from it.  When I was woken up by the lightening hit and the tree falling my parents and I all ran downstairs to go get the dog in.  We opened the door and she didn't come.  My dad started yelling that he thought she was under the tree.  Both my mom and dad just stood there like bumps on a log so I ran out in the middle of the storm to find the dog.  Fortunately she wasn't under the tree and I didn't get struck by lightening myself.  But I have never felt terror like that before.  So that is why I am now so scared of tornadoes and thunderstorms.

Exhibit E
Roaches.  I hate them so much that I could only look at the pictures long enough to find two.  I have chills right now as we speak.  My heart is pounding and my hands are twitching a little bit.  It gets very dry in Alabama in the summer.  And the roaches just looooooove to come inside to torture me look for water.  I can't even talk about it anymore.

Excuse me while I hunker down until the fall.

Getting to Know You

Sorry I have been neglecting the blog this past week!  With the semester winding down I have had a ton of school work to do so not only have I been busy but most of my brain cells have been going to that.  I didn't even have time to do Mama M's Five Question Friday!  I know!  I am a horrible blog friend!  But I I am going to squeeze in Keely's Getting to Know You.

1.  What color do you wear the most?
I don't think I have a color that I wear the most.  Does blue jean count as a color?  I wear my blue jeans probably 6 out of 7 days of the week.

2.  Would you rather have $10,000 or a dream vacation?
Probably the $10,000 because I could still pay for my dream vacation and have some left over.

3.  Do you have a weird quirky or unusual habit?
I sit on the end of my chair.  I will push my chair back as far as it can go without me falling of or not being able to reach the table.  My dad said he has always done that too so I must get it from him.

4.  I really need to start....
Exercising more!  And learn how to spell exercise because I get it wrong every time.

5.  What was the first blog you ever read?
I was going to say MckMama but then I realized that I found the link at Tales from Auburn so that one must have been first.  The author is a friend of mine who used to live down the street from us.  I guess she linked it from Facebook which is how I found out about it.  But I love reading about her precious little boy!

6.  Do you collect anything?
Just clothes on my bedroom floor.  Both dirty and clean.

7.  Do you text/tweet while driving?
Very rarely.  And never if Belli is in the car too.

Why I Hate the Spring and Summer

I've said it before and I will say it again.  I hate the Spring and Summer.  While everyone else is happy and excited about the blooming flowers and warm weather I am crying on the inside.  Want to know why?

Exhibit A

You see, my dad is allergic to bees.  Like as in if he gets stung and doesn't have his epipens you might as well count him out.  Like for good.  Needless to say I am terrified of them because I could be allergic too.  I haven't been stung since I was in the 10th grade and people can become allergic to things as they get older.  Belli could also be allergic and there is no way for me to know.  I hate them.

Exhibit B
This is pollen build up on cars.  FYI, these are not my cars.  Just pictures of cars with pollen I found on the internet.  But trust me my car looks the same.  I hate pollen.  I'm allergic to pollen.  My eyes hurt.  I can't breathe.  My head hurts.  And then I need Zyrtec.  I hate it.

Exhibit C
It is so flipping hot here!  It may not get to 105 like Arizona or New Mexico but I will take their arid 105 degrees ANY DAY over our 95 degree humidity filled air.  Some times it is so humid it is suffocating.  I can wake up in the morning and my hair is already frizzy from the humidity.  I hate it.

Please bring back the dead bees, dead plants, and cold weather!

Five Question Friday

Better late than never I suppose!  Here are Belli's answers for 5QF by Mama M.

1.  Do you sing out loud in the car when you are driving?
Yes!  Mommy is NOT allowed to sing though.

2.  What would you never be caught doing?
I would never be caught being quiet.  In fact, I enjoy talking to much that the other night when my Mimi told me we were going to play the quiet game I started crying.

3.  Will you go #2 in a public restroom?
I will go number two any where and announce it to the world that I need to go.

4.  Have you ever broken a bone?
Nope!

5.  Do you prefer cooking or baking?
Anything that involved cracking eggs.  I love to crack eggs!
